Position Summary: The Director of FP&A will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering insightful analysis to support decision-making at the executive level. This individual will work closely with the CFO and other senior leaders to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and reports that inform business strategies and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
     
    • Work as one of the leaders in the company’s annual budgeting process and long-term financial plans.
  2.  
    • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to evaluate potential business impacts.
  3.  
    • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and new business opportunities.
  4.  
  5. Reporting and Performance Measurement:
     
    • Prepare and present financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
  6.  
    • Develop monthly reporting that will be presented for shareholders and board review.
  7.  
    • Analyze variances between budgeted and actual results, providing actionable insights for business units.
  8.  
  9. Financial Strategy and Leadership:
     
    • Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads to ensure alignment on goals and accountability.
  10.  
    • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for the FP&A team while supporting the executive and operation teams with timely and relevant analytics.
  11.  
    • Partner with the other company departments as appropriate (including but not limited to Accounting, Payroll, Development, Marketing and Operations)
  12.  
  13. Data Analysis and Insights:
     
    • Leverage financial data and market trends to create actionable insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.

    • Implement financial modeling to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  15.  
  16. Process Improvement:
     
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

    • Work on the implementation of financial systems and tools to streamline FP&A processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, fitness industry experience is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience in FP&A BI systems like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
