About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at Planet Fitness - NJ/MA One World Fitness as an Assistant Manager! This exciting opportunity allows you to play a key role in fostering a positive gym environment while supporting our mission to provide a judgment-free fitness experience for all members.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming gym environment.
- Support the Gym Manager in driving membership sales and retention initiatives.
- Oversee staff training and development to enhance team performance and customer service.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure safety and functionality for all members.
- Handle member inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Implement and uphold company policies and procedures to maintain brand standards.
- Assist in managing budgets and financial reports to achieve operational goals.
- Promote a culture of fitness and wellness within the gym community.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in the fitness industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with members and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and gym operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and gym management software.
- Positive attitude and a passion for fitness and helping others.
- CPR/AED certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
